Angela Gossow had three younger siblings and her birthplace was Cologne. Her parents divorced when she turned 17. Her parents' business also was bankrupt, adding the financial burden. Being bulimic and anorexic made her a victim. About her decision to step down as ARCH ENEMY's singer Gossow stated that there's the right time and the proper place for everything.
