[1] She was a National Merit Scholar and attended the University of San Diego on academic scholarships, and she graduated with honors in 2003. 2. Watney has competed in the Miss California USA pageant, in which she was the initial finalist in 2002. Watney began her career at KMPH-TV (FOX 26), Fresno, in September 2003. After starting as a morning traffic reporter she moved to the anchor of sports on weekends and eventually weekday reporter. 3]Watney relocated to Massachusetts in 2008 and started working for New England Sports Network (NESN). She was an Boston Red Sox gameday reporter. Watney hosted the Ultimate Red Sox Show as well as Red Sox Report. Watney started her career at Time Warner Cable SportsNet, working as a reporter at LA Galaxy. But, she was hired by MLB Network in November 2012 where she spent nine years. [5] She was formerly the host for Quick Pitch. In 2022, she joined Apple TV+. 6. Heidi Watney was a field reporter for MLB on TBS from 2022 to 2022.

Madekwe was born South London, England into an ethnically diverse family. Her father is Nigerian and Swiss and the mother of her is English.
